This year I’ve decided to step out of my comfort zone a little more than last year. And by comfort zone, I mean wearing tassels and pom poms and off the shoulder tops.
All things I would have most likely put on the back-burner until the whole facade was nearly over and the prices dropped down to prices my wallet would eagerly approve of.
You and I can both agree that the latest fashion trends have been flooded with pom poms, straw knitted purses, and the occasional tassel dress. Tassel tops, purses, and necklaces are also a thing, in case you didn’t already know.
At first I thought, no
This is not my style.
The colors are just a little too bright for my taste.
Yet, after much hesitation and too many glances over the good, bad, and utterly unhelpful reviews, I clicked the “add to cart” button.
This tassel dress is budget friendly and it is from SHEIN. Yep, the online equivalence of Forever 21. Truthfully, I don’t plan on this dress having a long lasting nor any sort of intimate relationship within the boundaries of my closet. This would be more of a booty call; a spontaneous affair. Nonetheless, it’s here to stay for the time being. It’s a one size fit all with a particularly awkward fit. I would wear this to the beach or a pool party but nothing more. I’d certainly not wear it to brunch or anywhere that the wind could inappropriately show things that shouldn’t be revealed. The only possible situation this dress could be worn is someplace near unbearably high concentrations of chlorine or salty waters surrounded by burning hot sand, maybe even a boat.
